With winter transfer window on the wane, the clubs are test-driving their new signings

 The English Premier League members spent a ridiculous amount of money on transfers, while the Catalans gave a boost to the much-esteemed team Barcelona when they signed Liverpool’s Coutinho.
After the eventful month of January is over, let us recap all the major transfers made during this transfer window.

SPAIN
The Catalans spent an incredible £142 million on Philippe Coutinho, the former Liverpool footballer, who had a howling success there. According to www.stakers.com, the 25-year-old prodigy had played 1117 minutes in Liverpool’s matches of this season, scoring 7 goals and making 6 assists.
With Javier Mascherano’s retirement, Barcelona was forced to find the quick replacement in the face of Yerry Mina.
Real Madrid didn’t perform a single transfer this time as Zidane claimed he got no need for new players.

ENGLAND
Surprisingly, the EPL spent a good deal of money on the defenders. The farewell of Sanchez was brightened up with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s signing. The Gunners reportedly paid over £65 million to the German-based club Borussia Dortmund. Arsenal’s offensive side was also eked out with Mkhitaryan’s appearance.
Liverpool acquired Virgil van Dijk at the start of the window. The Dutch footballer previously played for Southampton. With £75 million spent on his signing, he appeared to become the most expensive defender ever.

Manchester City spent approximately £200 million on transfers in January transfer window. Without certain hesitation, Guardiola signed the French footballer Aymeric Laporte, who previously played for Atletic Bilbao.
