Cancer can occur anywhere in the body. Among women, cervical and chest cancer has become very rampant. Hence, the importance of having the knowledge cannot be overemphasized. Why? Finding chest cancer as early as possible help gives one a better chance of having a successful treatment. That doesn’t mean having regular screening tests should be over looked! A regular screening test is very important because it helps find chest cancer in its early stages before any symptoms appear. How can we prevent this chest cancer?
A reasonable woman will consider the steps to take so as to prevent chest cancer. Even though the causes haven’t yet been discovered, these measures reduce the risk of chest cancer;
Do not/ stop smoking!!
There are series of studies that prove that there is a link between smoking and chest cancer. Especially in women who have crossed the meno pause stage. So, if you’re a smoking woman; STOP!
Little or no alcohol
Researchers have said that chances of developing chest cancer become high when you consume alcohol. No matter how small.
Be physically active
There are countless benefits of exercise. As a matter of fact, it is at the fore front of things to do to maintain a good health. Some studies prove that women physically active have lower risk of chest cancer.
However, there are symptoms of chest cancer to look out for;
A lump in the chest
Bloody discharge from the bosom
Changes in the shape or texture of the bosom or chest.
Swelling of all or part of a chest.
Skin irritation or dimpling (sometimes looking like an orange peel).
bosom retraction (turning inward).
Redness, scaliness, or thickening of the bosom or chest skin.
Although chest cancer might not always be the case, it is advisable to go for screening as often as possible. One can never be too careful.
