INEC SET TO RESUME DINO MELAYE RECALL

The Independent National Electoral Commission ( INEC ) has received an order from Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court Abuja on Monday to resume the recall process of Senator Dino Melaye

The court while dismissing a suit filed by the Kogi West Senator challenging the validity of the recall process ordered that ” INEC shall proceed with the recall process”.

In his judgment, Justice Dimgba terminated the earlier ex parte order made by another judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja, Justice John Tsoho, on July 6, 2017, directing parties to maintain status quo.

Justice Dimgba ordered further that the recall process shall only proceed, subject to the service of the petition, the full list and signatures of persons in support of the recall process.
