AZUKA OGUJIUBA - TONTO DIKEH LIED ABOUT HER HUSBAND BEATING HER UP IN GHANA

AZUKA OGUJIUBA - TONTO DIKEH LIED ABOUT HER HUSBAND BEATING HER UP IN GHANA

In a stunning turn of events, Tonto Dikeh‘s claims of domestic abuse at the hands of her ex husband Churchill Olakunle have been described as lies by Azuka Ogujiuba, the journalist to whom Tonto granted an exclusive interview about her marital crisis earlier in the year- and who later had a similar interview with Churchill

Ogujiuba, a long term journalist who secured the interview back in March, was herself a guest on a talk show where she spoke about Churchill’s part of the story- as told to her.

‘I was told that it wasn’t Tonto that was arrested in Ghana, it was Tonto that was arrested because she was destroying things in the house… She was arrested and there was nobody to blame her so she told the police that she needs to go to the Nigerian embassy to see if they can bail her from the station’, Azuka said.

She further said that the information she received was that Tonto Dikeh lied to the High Commissioner that her husband abused her. ‘The embassy called the police who informed them that the man (Churchill) was not even around when the fight started…. But she told me in my interview that she was stark n@ked, injured and was bleeding. But that was not what happened, from my investigation in Ghana…’

Tonto Dikeh had earlier claimed to have been beaten by her husband and when the same interviewer she told that story too interviewed Churchill who debunked those claimed, she went again on the offensive and declared that her husband must have paid the journalist off; a claim that some of her fans have been repeating since Azuka’s revelation came out.

She subsequently embarked on a domestic abuse awareness campaign, co-opting fellow actress Mercy Aigbe who also had similar stories of abuse in her own marriage.
