A 38-year fake prophetess, Mrs Patience Adams has been arrested and charged before a Lagos court for allegedly defrauding a greedy woman to the tune of N600,000 using prophecy of better husband and good money, PM Express has revealed

It was gathered that the incident happened at Arida area of Idimu in Alimosho Local government Area of Lagos. The victim identified as 28-year old Cynthia Frank was defrauded after Adams reportedly met her and gave her some revelations about her life that seemed to be real in the form of prophecy.

Adams had promised Frank that she’ll get two major blessings after she must have delivered her from demonic influence that was obstructing her progress. One of such promises was to make her rich by ensuring she multiplied all her money and the second was to get her a good husband that will take care of her.

She reportedly asked the victim to bring all her money and after the deliverance and blessing, she will multiply the money and she will take it home. However, the music changed after the victim went and borrowed money including her own money and handed it over to Adams and was told when she will come for the prayer and blessing.
On the day they agreed, the victim went there but did not find Adams as she was told by neighbours that she never lived in the area.
It was then it became clear to her she had been duped. She went and reported the incident at Idimu Police division who trailed Adams and eventually arrested her.
Adams was charged before Ejigbo Magistrates court for obtaining under false pretence and stealing under the Criminal Code.

She pleaded not guilty.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs J.O.E. Adeyemi granted her bail in the sum of N100,000 with two sureties in like sum. She was remanded in prison custody pending when she will perfect her bail. The matter was adjourned till 21 August 2017.
